If I were principal for a day, I would have a rule taken out of the rulebook, extend break and lunch, have phones allowed, and have all the teachers wear chicken hats all day. The rule I would change would be the “no piggyback rides” rule. I feel like piggyback rides are super fun and aren’t really dangerous because you’re just on someone’s back, and the worst that could happen is that the person on the others back would fall down. Also, I would extend break and lunch because it gives students a time to decompress from stressful schoolwork and assignments. Next, I would have phones allowed. I think phones should be allowed because taking pictures with your friends is fun, and it captures memories of being at school. Lastly, I would have the teachers wear chicken hats all day because then the students would have fun that day and the teachers and students can laugh together about it.
