Dumbledore Quote

Dumbledore quote:

”Happiness can be found in even the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.”

This quote means to me that happiness is in everyone, even in the worst times of their life. No matter who you are or what happened to you, you will always have the happiness everyone else has tucked inside. This quote is meaningful to me because whenever I’m in a tough situation, I can always be happy somewhere on the inside. Sometimes you don’t have happiness in a certain moment in time, but you always need to remember to trigger the happiness and not bottle it up. That is why this quote is most meaningful to me.

My Admired Hero

I really admire my mom. My mom is my hero because she goes to work for 12 hours a day for me, does everything she can do to help me, and keeps me safe. My mom goes to work for 12 hours a day for me because she needs money for my family and I. She does everything she can do to help me because if she didn’t, then I would not get the help I would need. Lastly, my mom keeps me safe. She keeps me safe because she always does anything she can to protect me. Those are the reasons that my mom is my hero.

Organization – New Year’s Resolution Word

My word of intention for 2024 is organization. There are a few reasons why I would like to be more organized this year. The first reason is that I’m often very messy. Whether it comes to a messy room, a messy schedule, or even a messy brain. To do this, I would write in my binder reminder, clean out my binder every quarter, set reminders for myself to clean my room, and start a journal to organize my thoughts. Another reason I would like to be more organized this year is that I would like to organize things in my backpack. My backpack is usually the messiest thing I own. There are so many papers at the bottom of my backpack, I cant even count. Also, my pencil case has so much junk in it, it’s overflowing! One last reason I would like to be more organized this year is that I would like to clean out my closet often. My closet is a mess and I would like to clean it out.

Hopefully I’ll keep this New Year’s resolution going and ill finish it out until the new year comes around!

RAD READING – December

This month I read the book It’s Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han. This novel is a sequel to The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han. This story is about a teen girl, Belly, who was recently in a quick relationship with Conrad, her lifelong love. That relationship fizzled out over the winter. Susannah had sadly passed away, and this was the first summer that Belly was staying home. Her best friend, Taylor, wants to have the summer fun with Belly that she had never gotten. While Taylor and Belly have the fun they deserve, Belly just can’t stop thinking about Conrad. Her heart still belongs to Conrad.

I loved this bool because of the new drama and romance that stayed the same from the first book, but grew over time. I don’t really have an interest in reading most of the time, but this series was the best so far. You should definitely try out this book and this series.

“It felt like the right thing to do, to look the way she liked me best. Even though I knew she only said those things to make me feel better, they still felt true. I believed everything Susannah said.”

This is my favorite quote from the novel because it shows how much Belly loved and appreciated Susannah. After Susannah’s passing, Belly wanted to show her honor and respect towards Susannah by wearing what Susannah liked her to wear, and having a certain hairstyle that Susannah liked her to have.

My favorite character from this novel is Jeremiah. This is because he cares about Belly and her feelings. He wants Belly to feel at home all the time, and wants Belly to have the best life possible. A quote from the novel that shows why Jeremiah is my favorite character from the novel is,

“Then I reached across, and I took his hand and laced my fingers around his. It felt like the most right thing I’d done in a long time. I worried he’d let go, but he didn’t. We held hands like that the whole rest of the way home.” (Pg. 275)

This quote shows that Jeremiah really loves Belly and cares about her because he doesn’t want to let go of Belly’s hand. This symbolizes love and a strong bond between Belly and Jeremiah. That is the reason why Jeremiah is my favorite character.
